Sambranikodi

        If you have a dream of cruising through the peaceful backwaters lined with beautiful lagoons, then you should never miss Sambranikodi             Situated at the southern tip of Ashtamudi Lake, Sambranikodi is a picturesque island that invites you to experience the virgin beauty of God’s Own Country. The District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC), Kollam, offers boating facilities here. It is believed that during ancient times, small ships from China anchored along this coast. Local people referred to these ships as 'chambrani' and later the place came to be known as Sambranikodi. Currently, Sambranikodi is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Kollam district. It offers a breath-taking view of waterways fringed by lush mangroves. The DTPC offers a 30-minute cruise through this incredibly beautiful spot. As part of this package, you will get a chance to experience the delicious local cuisine, and see the life of this fishermen’s village.

THINGS TO DO IN VARKALA

Black Sand Beach    One of the most incredible beaches of India. It is lush green and surrounded by coconut trees. You will love spending your morning and evenings here. Surf, swim or ride along the beach side. The view from the cliff top and the sunset here are die for! Edava Beach Untouched and unspoilt by tourist activities, the Edava beaches are the virgin stretches circling a blue lagoon where sea and backwaters run parallel divided by a more-than-one km of straight road. There is also an estuary that connects the sea with the backwaters here. Kappil lake Kappil Lake is a mesmerising estuary famous for being a tranquil picnic spot surrounded by dense coconut trees. It further becomes a part of the Arabian sea and offers a breath-taking view that can be witnessed clearly from the bridge over the lake. The lake is also famous for pedal boating. PONDICHERRY

               Pondicherry (or Puducherry), a French colonial settlement in India until 1954, is now a Union Territory town bounded by the southeastern Tamil Nadu state.  Often referred to as the ‘French Capital of India’, Pondicherry is a vibrant city located on the south-eastern coast of India. Kappil

                            Kappil is a Beautiful Spot just 8 kilometres away from Varkkala, It's one of the beautiful places to visit where we can see a small lake close enough to sea and they are divided by the sands in middle so we can either swim in the lake or sea shore. But it's dangerous, so please avoid swimming in this beach,  it's also contain rocks in this joining area             It's a beautiful place for people who loves silent nature, between the sea and lake people walk through a long distance without rush, evening is the best time to visit this spot. Note: There is no lifeguard available for any emergency, and local people's are far away from this spot so please avoid swimming Keep food items, while visiting this spot, there is no hotels available near this spot
